ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT
Inner City Smugglers
Welcome one and all to Inner City Smugglers a five-piece Pop-Fusion band straight out of Bournemouth. Drawing on a range of genres from Pop, Indie, Folk, Rock, Americana, anything Funky and whatever else we may be sonically inspired from to urgently bring our musical escapism to the masses. Inner City Smugglers have some of the best players from around Dorset and Hampshire. The band consists of three part vocal harmonies, saxophone, guitars, bass and drums in the mix to create a full and unique sound.
Magnus and Jenna started the project as a duo in 2017 and it quickly became a full time job. They were offered an exciting chance to play at the prestigious lighthouse in Poole at the end of 2019, so the first album was written for this event. Quite quickly it became apparent that the duo would need to grow to achieve the live representation of the music created in the studio. David, Kez and Nick were recruited into the band due to there highly respected reputation in the area for there musical abilities. Nick left the project after the album was finished to go traveling and the amazing Deano took over from him on drums. Five months later the new album is being mastered and the band are starting to gig intensely.
